We’re traveling to the Canary Islands from Budapest, so we had to drive to the Hungarian capital. With the Dacia Solenza Grand Cherokee Pathmaker Especially Limited Edition, of course. 🙂
I found three ladies from the Republic of Moldova on Bla-bla car, so we all traveled together. I was expecting a bit of queue at the Romanian-Hungarian border because of the holodays, but definitely not what we experienced. We went back in time: 2 HOURS OF WAITING AT THE BORDER. Yes, it was in the 1990s when I experienced this for the last time.
We had one Romanian ID, a Hungarian passport, a Romanian one from a lady from Republic of Moldova and two passports from Republic of Moldova. They thoroughly checked all of them. They looked in the trunk, clearly looking for a “hidden passanger”… I know we traveled from a non-Schengen country to one that is part of the border-free region of Europe, but still…
Terrorism can have some unexpected side effects… 😦
